Yesterday I saw this incredible video montage for Broken (I'm Sorry), the unreleased song from M & Oakenfold's Celebration sessions.
It was 1 a.m. and after watching this I couldn't get into sleep. I just wanted to shout yeeeeeeeeaah!!!
There's nothing like a real M fan to make a video that will blow us away - an official release definitely wouldn't top this. The reason is simple: we all speak the same language!
Thank you so much jonus30, for such an AMAZING work!!! Just... perfect.

Pre-production: Costume Designer's first drafts
Gautlier's sketches for the Blond Ambition Tour are a classic. What I couldn't even dream of seeing, though, was the first sketches he did, prior to those. Madonna's Scrapbook just gave me this amazing revelation: six drawings from Gaultier's team, probably for what would be the Like A Prayer World Tour, since M is portrayed with dark hair - more than that, with Like a Prayer video hairdo.
According to Scrapbook's reader Pheel, they were revealed in Gaultier's interview for Libération, in the July 1990 issue:
«She wears a bathrobe because he wanted her to take a shower on stage (which she replaced by the masturbation scene). On the back of the bathrobe there was a tag "Taste Heaven". In this interview, he talked about the La Isla Bonita costumes and how at the last minute he had to redo all the costumes because from when he took Madonna's measurments to the time she was about to start the tour, she had lost a lot of weight and his team was forced to go to L.A., to resize everything.»
Oh-my-god...

Like A Prayer World Tour. Noooot!
On January 25, 1989 (and after 8 months of negotiations), Pepsi announced a brand new, long-year endorsement contract with Madonna.
She would record three TV commercials for Pepsi, two of which she did. The third one would announce the Like A Prayer World Tour, sponsored by the brand. It would kick off later that year.
The Like a Prayer video came in. Hell broke loose. Pepsi cancelled the contract. The tour only came to life in a can...

The German-only Pepsi can, announcing the Like A Prayer World Tour. After the deal was cancelled, all related Pepsi-products bearing Madonna's name were immediately withdrawn from markets worldwide. This is one of the rarest items in Planet M.

Warning Signs
.jpg)
If you're a die-hard M fan, then this one must be at the top of your wish-list.
Written in 1984 by M and Stephen Bray, "Warning Signs" was the 3rd song to be used in the "Vision Quest" soundtrack. Unfortunately, it was never released. And to this date, it is kept totally unknown. No one has ever heard it, not a single internet miracle, nothing. "Warning Signs" is our Holy Grail.
Bray reportedly describes it as «a cool synth track». The lyric sheet reveals the opening intro as "I see danger up ahead", "Warning (echo), Warning (echo)". Chorus is "Warning I see danger up ahead. I can see it in your eyes, and it's really no surprise. Because, I can see your warning signs".

I Can't Forget
We couldn't forget: on September 2008, the demo of an unreleased song called "I Can't Forget" surfaced on the internet.... but only a few seconds of it. Finally, the full song is out there, for our listening pleasure. It is always a thrill to hear a new unreleased track from any of M's recording sessions.
"I Can't Forget" was a collaboration with David Foster, recorded for "Something to Remember", back in 1995. It's no surprise that, to pick 2 out of 3 songs, this would be out, with "You'll See" and "I Want You" as heavy-weight competitors.
Nevertheless, this demo unveils what would be a beautiful song, with proper arrangements and studio editing. And even with such a home-made type of sound (we can't forget, it's only a demo...), this track has what we want the most: Madonna's unique voice. And I just love the chorus!

After being put away from "Something To Remember"'s final setlist, "I Can't Forget" was later recorded by british group Tilt, under the title "Come Closer", for their 2006 album "Vaults". Madonna is credited as writer of the song. The song was also given to Canadian singer Angelica DiCastro, for her album "Beautiful Feeling". The song is credited to David Foster and Madonna.
